Top 3 Chillies !

Top 3 Chillies !

Top 3 Chillies ! - To begin I'd like to introduce a personal favourite of mine the "Red Savina Habanero Chilli". This is one spicy chilli pepper! This particular Habanero is red in colour and has a beautiful fruity flavour. It is easy to distinguish between this pepper and the ordinary Habanero. Not only can you separate the two by colour, but the level of spice is immensely different. The Red Savina sits between 100,000 to 350,000 SHU. This is very spicy and for people who don't know, SHU stands for scoville heat units. SHU is a way of measuring the level of capsaicin found within the pepper. As a reference point The Savina is 44 to 231 times hotter than the Jalapeno pepper.

Next we have the deadly "Ghost Pepper" aka "Bhut Jolokia". This was once considered to be the most spicy pepper on Earth! Still today this pepper is no joke. It boasts an extremely spicy flavour and can be used to play funny pranks on friends and family. The Ghost pepper is very spicy and sits between 855,000 - 2,000,000 SHU. To compare it to a Jalapeno it is at least 110 times hotter! Trust me do not touch your eyes if attempting to eat this dangerous pepper.

Now for my absolute favourite pepper I want to introduce to you, the infamous "Carolina Reaper". This is the most spicy chilli pepper in the world. It is on another level of spicy. The "Reaper" sits between 855,000 - 2,200,000 SHU. And as a reference point it is typically 175 to 880 times hotter than a Jalapeño.

These peppers are all considered as the most spicy chillies in the world. I strongly suggest you handle them with the utmost respect and care. If you one day you decide to eat a Carolina Reaper, or even a Savina pepper, remember that they will burn your insides and drive you crazy! However, if you manage to finish one. The accomplishment will be amazing. To have eaten a whole Carolina Reaper is very impressive and self rewarding. You must either be super brave, super crazy, or just a crazy chilli enthusiast like myself.

A final thought, please make sure you wear gloves when handling these peppers. This is because they are so spicy that if you accidentally rub your watery eyes while consuming one, they will burn you and the pain is unimaginable!
